2012 Mulga Reunion was so much fun!

We had such a good time at the 2012 Mulga Reunion yesterday. There was good food, good fun, good music and more. Friends and family were here all the way from Chicago and Indiana. It was an exciting day in Mulga for sure.

Cars were parked from Mrs. Katie Weeks house down to Gerby’s. When you stopped at Sandra Faye house you smelled the grill going, tasted delicious pound cake and got to taste whole fried croppie. If you stopped by Mrs. Katie Weeks house, friends were enjoying themselves grilling out. At Mrs. Trilla house friends and family chilled out under the tent waiting for some good food from the grill. In Mrs. Clara’s yard, across from the hall, the Cameron’s and Bivens had their tent with Karima on the grill cooking Polish sausage, hamburgers and much more.

Not to far from them were Ty and Nick and their motor cycle club hanging out enjoying the festivities and the beautiful day. Next to Mrs. Trilla’s house were the Bryant’s grilling with Ruthie snapping pictures. The children jumped in the moonwalk to their heart’s content chanting as they played.

At the back of the hall, the Burts/McIntosh/Denson/Clarks (lol) were frying fish and grilling some good eats. On the front side of the hall was the Armstead/Miller clan with hamburgers, hot dogs, fried chicken and fish. Right next to Mrs. Helen’s house were the Shelley’s with hot dogs, pig feet, Rotel dip and more. There was some good food out there yesterday.

Jerome and Derrick Miller kept the party going with tunes such as Wobble and Cupid Shuffle. Skeeter brought the Backwood Band to help out. You know we had to have a little down home blues.

For those of you who missed it, you missed a good time, but this was just a hint of what is to come for 2013. It’s going to be bigger and better.

Feel free to comment and add your experience at the 2012 Mulga Reunion to this post.

  3. We had a BLAST!! Love coming back home to see friend and family. I try to visit at least once a year, sometimes I get to visit twice. You guys should have a phone directory for the ones that would like to keep in touch with each other. Getting ready for Westfield’s Class Reunion I think it will be here in Chicago this year. Don’t forget to let us know about the next one and also if there will be a Minor Reunion this year or next year.
